It has been rare for Heilongjiang eight-year-old Siberian tiger to give birth to six cubs in one litter for 20 years (Figure)

Today (1st) morning, there was good news from Heilongjiang Northeast Tiger Forest Park. An 8-year-old Northeast tiger gave birth to six cubs at one birth, and all of them survived, which is also very rare in the world. It is expected that Tiger Baby will meet the tourists in three months.

At 13: 30, when the reporter came to the tiger house outside the Northeast Tiger Forest Park in Heilongjiang Province, the female Northeast Tiger numbered "H-01-204" was taking a nap with two male and four female tiger babies. Although some awakened tiger babies had not opened their eyes, they had been crawling around curiously beside their mother, who lovingly licked them with her tongue.

The breeders have kept the tiger house warm and monitored the mother tiger family for 24 hours to ensure the survival of the baby tiger.

According to the staff of Tiger Park, it is not easy for a tiger to give birth to four cubs at a time. It is the first time for a tiger to give birth to six cubs at a time in Tiger Park. At present, only three Northeast tigers in China have given birth to six cubs at a time, and it has been more than 20 years since the latest.

At present, Tiger Park has begun to increase nutrition such as eggs, milk and live chickens to ensure that mother tigers have enough milk to breastfeed their cubs.

In 2009, it is estimated that more than 100 Siberian tigers will be born in Tiger Park, and the population of Siberian tigers will exceed 1,000. (Reporter Bai Linhe Wen/photo)
