According to the work requirements of Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, Zhenjiang Municipal Market Supervision Bureau filed an investigation on the illegal acts of the parties suspected of driving up prices on January 17, 2023.
It was found that Yuyue Medical had the following price behaviors: in November 2022, the average cost of production and storage of finger-clip pulse oximeter (hereinafter referred to as oximeter) with model **306 was 43.8 yuan/set (including tax, the same below), and the average cost of production and storage in December was 64.4 yuan/set. In November 2022, the average price of oximeter sold to its subsidiary Jiangsu Yuyue Network Technology Co., Ltd. was 100 yuan/set. In December 2022, the average price of oximeter sold to its subsidiary Jiangsu Yuyue Network Technology Co., Ltd. was 231.78 yuan/set.

Zhenjiang Municipal Market Supervision Bureau believes that since December 2022, Yuyue Medical has taken advantage of the tight supply and demand situation in the market, and the average cost of production and warehousing of oximeters has increased by 47% month-on-month, and the average sales price has increased by 131.78% month-on-month. The increase in sales price is obviously higher than the increase in cost, which has promoted the market price of oximeters to rise too fast and too high, disrupting the market price order.
According to Article 14 of the Price Law and Article 6 of the Provisions on Administrative Penalties for Price Violations, Zhenjiang Municipal Market Supervision Bureau held a case hearing meeting on January 30, 2023 to discuss the case collectively, and decided to order Yu Yue to correct the price violations and impose a fine of 2.7 million yuan.
